Today’s episode is about recognising when it is time to rethink your marketing strategy. Not because you have failed. Not because things are falling apart. But because growth, both business and personal growth, requires review.

Let’s get into it.

Recognising the Right Time to Refresh Your Marketing Strategy Introduction

When it comes to ‘Recognising the Right Time to Refresh Your Marketing Strategy’, there comes a point in every business where what once worked no longer feels aligned. You might still be getting results. You might still be busy. But something feels slightly off.

Perhaps your enquiries are not quite right.
Perhaps your energy has shifted.
Perhaps your services have evolved but your marketing has not caught up.
Perhaps you are attracting clients you have outgrown.

These are not signs of failure. They are signs of development.

Client Story About Recognising the Right Time to Refresh Your Marketing Strategy

One of my clients, a psychotherapist, experienced exactly this. She was offering broad services to a wide audience. She was busy, but she felt scattered. Through the Strategy Cycle™ Program, we refined her niche, repositioned her messaging, and aligned everything to the specific work she wanted to be known for. The result was clarity, confidence, and a stronger pipeline of ideal clients. Nothing was broken. It simply needed refinement.

Revisit Your Services, Not Just Your Strategy

When reviewing and refreshing your marketing, do not only look at your content or platforms. Look at your services.

Ask yourself:

  • Are my services still aligned with my ideal client?
  • Do they reflect current market demand?
  • Do they energise me?
  • Are they profitable?
  • Do they support the lifestyle and future I want?At the time of recording this, I am doing exactly this myself. I am reviewing my services, my positioning, and the direction I want to take next. Not because anything is broken, but because growth, both business and personal growth, requires review. So watch this space.

    Practical Action Points

First, audit your results. Look at the last twelve months. Where did your best clients come from? Which services generated the strongest return?

Second, speak to your clients. Ask them what they value most. Listen carefully to the language they use. That insight is gold.

Third, review your positioning. If someone landed on your website today, would they instantly understand what you are known for?

Fourth, check your alignment. Does your marketing reflect who you are now, not who you were three years ago?

If part of you is thinking, “I know I need to review things but I keep putting it off,” do not ignore that feeling. Avoiding reflection does not protect you. It delays progress.
