Brilliant Broadcaster award won by Tracy Heatley at the Freshies Business Awards 2022.
Having been anonymously nominated for in two categories, including Nifty Networker and Brilliant Broadcaster, I was thrilled to win!
Having had my Mind Your Own Business radio show for five years the recognition was lovely. I launched my How To Be A Networking Ninja podcast in 2019. This was followed by my current Be Better With Tracy Heatley podcast advice series.
Due to being up against some top podcasters, including the very popular, 2 P’s in a Pod(cast), I thought I had no chance of winning. To say that I’m delighted to win is an understatement. 
The night was even more special because I was sat with Kath Lord-Green from Voice IT PR, who was the founder of Ribble FM. During a radio interview, all those years ago, it was Kath who spotted my potential. A broadcasting talent that I never knew that I had. I have a lot to thank her for!
The award came as I celebrated the 10th anniversary of this business, so this made it even more special.
My podcasts offer tips and advice, frequently asked questions and explain the common marketing and networking gaps that a lot of businesses have.
It has been a difficult couple of years for all businesses, so I decided to use the podcasts to give people as much advice and guidance as I could for free.
Although they are only 10 minutes long, they are packed full of useful tips and actionable advice.
The Freshies Charity Business Awards were set up during lockdown by Laura and Emily Leyland from Fresh Perspective Resourcing Ltd. The North West awards have quirky titles and are less formal than the norm.
